ISSDC SE :: NOVEMBER 7-8, 2009 :: AHBA HERDING TRIAL

A WOOLIES HERDING WE WILL GO!

WHAT:
Join us for a fun-filled weekend watching your Shiloh's natural herding ability brought out. Members of the ISSDC SE region have been taking lessons at Keeptstone Farm in Berryville Virginia, since Spring and want to extend a paw to all Shilohs to come on out and try, along side them, their hand at herding at this AHBA Sanctioned Trial.

There will be two test classes (HCT, JHD) and three trial level classes (HTD I, II, III, HTAD I, II, III and HRD I, II, III). What this means is that your Shiloh, with never having seen sheep but knowing how to sit and come, can earn a title in one weekend; two times in the ring and that is all! We had several Shiloh Shepherds do just that last year at the trial.

Although this trial is in VA, we welcome and encourage all Shiloh Shepherds (and their owners) to attend if they wish to!

WHEN:
Saturday November 7th – Sunday November 8th, 2009
8:00 am Sharp until all runs are complete each day

WHERE:
Keepstone Farm
2412 Russell Road
Berryville, VA
Outdoors, Rain or Shine

WHY:
Our own SE Region members Nottingham Shilohs, in conjunction with Keepstone Farm, are sponsoring the event. We encourage novice and advanced herders to come out to the trial. For the novice herder, watching the natural instinct kick in is such a thrill. If your dog is at least six months old, and of sound health, you can have them instinct tested. If they pass, they will receive a Herding Instinct Certificate (HIC) from Keepstone Farm and will also receive AHBA credit for their first leg toward their title, the HCT1 Sheep. Dogs younger than six months can test for the HIC with permission from Keepstone but will not receive AHBA credit.

HOW MUCH:
Registration is now open and slots are filling fast.
Pre-entry (received before October 20, 2009) is $42/run/dog for all classes
Regular entry (received on or after October 21, 2009) is $46/run/dog for all classes
