WHY:
The International Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club sponsors a booth to promote education and awareness of the Shiloh Shepherd, as well as conduct fundraising for ISSDC programs such as the Shiloh Shepherd Rescue. The ISSDC has been represented at this event for the past few years and it is always a lot of fun.

Our booth will house digital photo displays of our dogs as part of our education program, handouts as well as live Shilohs for the public to meet and interact with!

There is a Best Dressed Booth contest again this year ... booths are judged on education about the breed, representation of the breed meeting the public and overall impression, so we suspect all of the breed booths (not just Shiloh Shepherds) will be exciting and interesting.

HOW MUCH:
For visitors not showing in the dog show (and entries are now closed), you will need to purchase an admission ticket to the Sportsmen's Show event, $17 at the door for adults, $10 for Juniors (Ages 6 to 15), $10 for Seniors (60+) and children under 6 are free when accompanied with an adult. There is a Family Pass available for $40 which includes two adult and two junior admissions.

ISSDC SE :: MARCH/APRIL :: GROUP HERDING LESSONS

IT'S TIME TO HERD THE WOOLIES!

WHAT:
Members of the ISSDC SE Region are getting together at Keepstone Farm in March and April to take group herding lessons for their Shiloh Shepherds from Susan Rhodes. If you attended the ISSDC Herding Trial last November you will be familiar with Keepstone Farm and Susan. For those unfamiliar, Keepstone Farm is where the Fab Five Shilohs (who earned AHBA acceptance/recognition for the Shiloh Shepherd breed) trained.

Members are getting together as a "group," however, lessons are taken per individual dog, are hands on and are 20 minutes long per dog. If you are interested in attending, want to reserve a spot or have any questions, please contact Marti Nottingham for further information and/or clarification.

WHEN:
March 7th – lessons begin @10am
March 21st – lessons begin @10am
April 26 – lessons begin @ 1pm

WHERE:
Keepstone Farm, 412 Russell Road, Berryville, VA.
(From Rt 660, go 3/10 mile, turn Right at large Keepstone Farm sign (Dog Gone Healthy sign below). Follow farm lane to left turn at #412, and go to end of Driveway.
Keepstone Farm website: http://www.keepstonefarm.com/

WHY:
Well, to see your Shilohs turn on, work and hone their instincts. Folks may come out and check out a lesson first to decide if they would like to try their hand at herding. Secondly, who ever needs an excuse to get together with other Shiloh Shepherd owners! But all dog breeds are welcome — just contact Marti Nottingham to reserve your spot.

HOW MUCH:
Our group rate is $25 for a 20 minute lesson.

This is a great opportunity to take lessons in a laid back, fun environment all the while enjoying the camaraderie of other Shiloh owners.
